4. Takbeer (saying Allaahu Akbar - Allaah is Greater than all else).
By increasing in Takbeer (4. Takbeer (saying Allaahu Akbar - Allaah is Greater than all else). Takbeer is legislated from the dawn of the Day of Arafah until the third day of Tashreeq – which is the fourth day of Eid.
And from Muhammad Ibnu Abi Bakrin Ath-Thaqafi, who asked Anas Ibnu Malik ( رضي الله عنه) – while they were proceeding from Mina to Arafah – How did you (the Companions) use to do on this day with the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم? He replied: Some of us would say the Tahlil (laa ilaaha Illa Llaah) and no one would reproach him, and some of us would say the takber (Allaahu Akbar) and no one would reproach him." Bukhari (970) and Muslim (1285) transmitted it.
Al-Haafidh Ibnu Rajab رحمه الله, said in Fat-hu Al-Bari (9/30): "In this Hadith: there is evidence that demonstrating Takbeer on the Day of Arafah is legislated, even if the person is in a state of Ihram intending Arafah for standing there, despite the main sign of of Ihram being Talbiyah. So, if no one objected to the Muhrim (person in Ihram) demonstrating Takbeer, whose duty is to demonstrate Talbiyah, then it is even more appropriate for non-Muhrims from city dwellers.
This is one of the best proofs for the desirability of demonstrating Takbeer on the Day of Arafah in cities and elsewhere; for the Day of Arafah is the first of the five Eid days for the people of Islaam; and for this reason, demonstrating Takbeer is legislated when going out for the two Eids in cities. End quote.
Al-Haafidh Ibnu Hajar, رحمه الله, said in Fat-hu Al-Bari (2/462): As for the wording of Takbeer, the most authentic narration about it is what Abdur-Razzaq transmitted with a sound chain from Salman رضي الله عنه who said: 'Say Allaahu Akbar: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbaru Kabeeraa (say: Allaah is Greater than all else: Allaah is Greater than all else absolutely).
Imam As-San'ani, رحمه الله, said in Subulu As-Salam (1/438): And in the explanation, there are many forms and commendations from several imams, which indicates flexibility in the matter, and the generality of the verse implies that. End quote.
